Donations during the 2023 Winter Season

Social commitment to our region is an integral part of our corporate culture and we are delighted that we were once again able to support several organizations with financial donations this year. The associations and organizations perform important tasks in our society and we would like to support the future work of these organizations with our donations.

DonaTempi – Ambulant Hospice Service Geesthacht e.V.

The outpatient hospice service is active in the southern part of the district of Herzogtums Lauenburg and provides voluntary work in the area of end-of-life and bereavement care. One of its main focuses is educational and public relations work on dealing with dying, death and grief.

For example, the association supports families in which relatives are seriously ill and offers supportive, free “last aid courses” for these families. Part of our donation is used for the training and further education of the instructors who run the “last aid courses”. The ABEL donation will also be used to finance wireless, washable heating pads/blankets, which will be given to the patients.

Badminton Sports Team

Our second donation goes to the children’s and youth sports department for the Schwarzenbek, Büchen and Müssen badminton team. The badminton team is now in its 5th season and needs new jerseys for the upcoming season to give the team a uniform appearance.

Kindergarten Büchen – Noah’s Ark

The “Noah’s Ark” kindergarten is part of the Büchen Protestant daycare center and currently has six kindergarten groups. At the beginning of 2024, Noah’s Ark will build a tree house with a local carpentry company, which the children have requested. As many safety regulations must be observed during construction, the tree house is a very expensive project and will be financed exclusively by donations. We are delighted that ABEL is able to contribute to the financing of the tree house.
